Penguicon Events
April 20th - 22nd
I'll be attending the Penguicon 5.0 convention in Troy, Michigan this weekend. It is a fiction and technology convention -- with quite an array of fun things to do.
Below is my list of scheduled events:

7:30-8:00: Lovecraft's Legacy Today (Charlie Stross, Sarah Monette, William Jones, Sarah Shefferly, Jeff Deluzio)
9:00-11:00: Call of Cthulhu - "The Source and the End" (Modern Military Call of Cthulhu)
Saturday
11:00-12:00: How to Write RPG Fiction (Steve Jackson, William Jones)
4:00-6:00: Call of Cthulhu - "The Transgression of Effram Harris" (traditional 1920s setting)
6:00-7:00: Author Social: William Jones, Steven Climer, Sarah Zettel
8:00-9:00: The Matrix: Deconstructing Reality (William Jones)

It must have been fun. Wish I could have gone. One of these days I hope to experience a convention, or event like this. Sounds really fun. Hope you had a good time, though. Later.

There was certainly a large group of people, and quite a number of filled rooms. It is something worth trying at least once, particularly if you're a fan of what the convention focuses upon. It is a place for fans to gather, relax, and have fun. I'd think there has to be a few near you -- the smaller ones tend not to get as much exposure, so a quick search on the Internet might local a few.
