CodCon Convention

This April 11th through the 13th is CodCon, a gaming convention sponsored by the Science Fiction/Fantasy Club of DuPage College. Among the entertaining events, there will be RPGs, video games tournaments, and many other things. It is held in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, so if your in the neighborhood, visit the convention.

I am the Guest of Honor this year. For those who enjoy RPGs, I'll be debuting the soon to be released Pulp Cthulhu RPG in a two-fisted action setting that starts with a "bang" (literally). I'll also be running a 1920s Call of Cthulhu adventure modified from The Strange Cases of Rudolph Pearson. And, I'll be hosting a para-military setting, near apocalyptic setting in the Call of Cthulhu universe. There are many other things to do beyond that, so visit the convention, or at least take a peek at the schedule.

Also, while at the convention, I'll be handing out limited edition "Pearson" cards. There are around 200 of these postcard sized items, each bearing a full color, glossy image of the cover of April release of The Strange Cases of Rudolph Pearson, with secret information on the back. And while speaking of Pearson and Pulp Cthulhu, here is an image from the "chapter" titled "Haunted Horror," from the book. It was sketched by Gwabryel, one of the artists presently illustrating Pulp Cthulhu. Anyone who visits me at CodCon, and can name this creature will win a prize (name of prize intentionally not mentioned). For those wondering, Rudolph Pearson is the one on the left.

Congrats on being guest of honor. That's a cool honor. Sounds like fun but a bit out of my way. Perhaps one day we'll run into each other at a con.

Charles - Thank you very much. I'm certain it will be fun. And hopefully we will run into each other at a convention in the near future.

Soooo, will it be possibly for those of us who are geograhically challenged to get one of these cards?

John - Good point. They are light enough to mail. So I'll put aside around 20 for anyone who wants one (and is reading these responses). Simply email me at: william@williamjoneswriter.com with the subject: Pearson Card. Make sure to include a mailing address, and I'll send off a Pearson card and bookmark (if I still have them). I'll also explain the secret code on the back of the card. :)

To my surprise, the Pearson cards went rather quickly. So I'll add another 10 to the pile, and a small amount of bookmarks (not sure how many I have remaining).

Thanks to everyone who emailed about them!

I'm geographically challenged too. Congratulations on the book. I have it on order. But I want to know when Caley is appearing in a book.
